Work Party
Work party volunteers are helping prepare the Fox for reconstruction. The interior is stuffy and can be too hot or too cold. It is dusty. If you are able to work in these conditions, we do need your help, and it is great fun! Work parties are usually on a Saturday and are scheduled every 4 to 6 weeks. Dates are posted on this site in the event calendar and on the Fox marquee. We also send out an email notice. All first time work party volunteers must attend a safety orientation at 8:30 AM on the day of the work party. You need only attend the safety lesson one time. No open toe shoes are permitted and gloves are recommended. Everyone must wear a hardhat. We have a limited number of hardhats available for our volunteers. Work assignments begin at 9:00 AM. The day usually ends in mid-afternoon.
Carpentry
Saturdays 9:00AM to Mid Afternoon
We need volunteers handy with a hammer and nails and some skill with a saw.
Demolition and removal or materials
Saturdays 9:00AM to Mid Afternoon
We are removing materials from the Fox that cannot be re-used based on demolition plans created by the architect.
Landscaping
Saturdays 9:00AM to Mid Afternoon
Fox Plaza has plants in several areas that are in need of some tender loving, green thumb attention.
Painting
Saturdays 9:00AM to Mid Afternoon
Touch-up painting is done to occasionally remove graffiti and otherwise maintain the appearance of the Fox.
Work Party Clean-Up
Saturdays 9:00AM to Mid Afternoon
General work keeping the interior of the Fox clean and organized.
