Friends of the Fox Fullerton Theatre

Friends of the Fox Fullerton Theatre gifts provide critical operating support for the Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation.

The Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation is a nonprofit, public benefit, tax-exempt organization charged with bringing the Fox Fullerton Theatre back to life – Orange County’s first and only surviving movie palace.

The Fox has been transformed from a public eyesore to a community treasure ready to be restored so that new audiences are able to experience the enrichment of the performing and cinematic arts in downtown Fullerton. We deeply appreciate the many thousands of volunteer hours that have accomplished so much.

For the Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation there are many goods and services required to conduct business – even nonprofit business – for which there are no volunteer alternatives. Telephones, internet connections, insurance, and postage are a few examples of everyday business expenses incurred as we work on the planning and fundraising needed to restore the Fox. Your Friends of the Fox Fullerton Theatre gifts provide the critical support needed to keep the Foundation operating efficiently and effectively. Gifts received above annual operating expenses are designated for capital expenditures.

Friends of the Fox Fullerton Theatre contributions are tax-deductible. Gifts in any amount are valued and all gifts will be gratefully acknowledged. Outright or accumulated gifts of $1,000 and above are published on this site unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous.

Matching Gifts

Gifts of Stock, Bequests and Real Property

Gifts of stocks are accepted. Stock gifts are credited with their value on the day they are presented to the Foundation. Stock that has appreciated may provide significant capital gains tax savings to the donor.

Naming the Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation to receive a gift in your will is another way to provide for the restoration and operation of the Fox. Such a gift leaves a legacy of your generosity for the benefit of future generations.

Gifts of real property may be arranged that provide lifetime income to the donor. Unlike a reverse mortgage that has a set number of payments, charitable property gifts can provide for income during the donor’s entire lifetime. For married couples, the income continues for the life of the surviving spouse.
